✓ Draft Symposium Materials – Poster and Video
To recap the semester, your team will present on project progress and future goals. Please review the following Guidelines for the Final Poster: Final Poster Details. Please review the following Guidelines for the Final Video: Final Video Details.
During this sprint, your team should complete a first draft of your poster and video and continuing working on this until the final week of term when you will present at The Data Mine Symposium.
When: First Draft due Wednesday, March 6, 2024 at 11:59 PM ET. Late work will not be accepted. Final Draft due Friday, April 3, 2024 at 11:59 PM ET. Late work will not be accepted. You’re TA will submit on behalf of the whole team

Each sprint you will complete a few professional development-related tasks.

In preparation for The Data Mine Symposium, this sprint you will submit a 3-minute thesis video on Gradescope
When: Due Wednesday, March 6, 2024 at 11:59 PM ET. Late work will not be accepted.
What: Review your teams documentation, does it follow Google developer documentation guide?
Why: Documentation provides a record of what has been completed in a project. It is beneficial if you need to revisit a task you completed in the past. Documentation can also be passed to the next team for continuing projects. It helps to know what has already been completed, how, and where to find it.
When: Due Wednesday, March 6, 2024 at 11:59 PM ET. Late work will not be accepted.
What: Learn about the 3 Minute Thesis and submit a 3 Minute Thesis on Gradescope.
Where: Complete the knowledge check for this professional development training on Gradescope in the assignment "Sprint 4: Professional Development".
Why: In preparation for The Data Mine Symposium, we are having students practice giving a 3-minute thesis. There will be many attendees from different companies and backgrounds during the symposium. Being able to give a 3-minute thesis about your Data Mine project to a non-technical audience is a precious skill to learn for your professional career.
✓Sprint #4 Report
When: Due Wednesday, March 6, 2024 at 11:59 PM ET. Late work will not be accepted.
What: Answer the questions in Sprint #4 Report. You can draft your answers in a separate document then you will write your answers directly in the Gradescope assignment.
Where: Gradescope
